Goodbye to Hello!2008/05/09 2:52:00 下午
Hello是Picasa公司早期的一款面向图片分享的IM，用户可以通过hello与好友直接分享照片，界面优雅并且精简。随着picasa在2004年7月被Google收入旗下，Hello也成为Google的子产品。但是Hello在Google旗下一直没有表现出多大的活力，与其他产品的整合也仅体现在picasa和blogger.com上。但Hello用户数量一直都在低位徘徊，并且其自身定位也过于狭隘，造成了Hello日益“鸡肋”的局面。
很早的时候就用过hello，并且也曾经有段时间使用hello的在线机器人直接发布照片和文字到blogger.com，但是由于存在编码问题一直不能支持中文，于是也就渐渐放弃了。今天在Gseeker上看到Hello即将关闭的消息，赶紧打开hello.com，看到是下面的让人伤感的字句：
All good things come to an end. So it is with sadness that we say goodbye to Hello.
Hello will be shut down on May 15th.
We originally embarked on a mission to make photo sharing easier and more fun with Hello. We plan to keep carrying that torch in new projects to come.
We hope that you continue to enjoy the other sharing products Google offers including Picasa, Picasa Web Albums and Google Talk.
